"Friendship Set to Music" is a series of hour-long, square-and-round-dance television shows created by a dedicated group of square dancers in Minnesota to show everyone the fun that can be had in modern western square dancing and round dancing. The Square Dance Council of New Jersey is one of the groups which is sponsoring the show in New Jersey.
Producers of the show, Dee and Ken Scott, are joined by groups of avid square dancers from all over Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa to put on a lively show full of hand clapping, foot stomping, smiles, and information. The regular caller is and host is Dick Rueter of Minneapolis and a favorite round dance cuer is Ken LaBau. Segments of the show like square dance cooking and square dance travel are hosted by different dancers. Each show is different.
